Siebman, Forrest, Burg & Smith name partner recognized for business litigation work

Elizabeth ForrestSHERMAN/PLANO/DALLAS, TEXAS – Name partner Elizabeth Forrest of the East Texas law firm Siebman, Forrest, Burg & Smith, LLP, has been named one of the top young attorneys in the state on the 2019 Texas Rising Stars list published by Thomson Reuters.

Ms. Forrest was selected to the exclusive listing based on nominations from other lawyers and a thorough independent review conducted by the editors of the companion Texas Super Lawyers list. She earned a spot on the 2019 roster based on her work for clients in business litigation.

In addition to her expertise in business disputes, Ms. Forrest also represents clients in cases involving patent and trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, False Claims Act violations, and other civil matters heard in state and federal courts.

A former law clerk to Judge Amos Mazzant III of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Ms. Forrest is a member of the Board of Directors of the Eastern District of Texas Bar Association. She also serves as Chairperson of the Association of Women Lawyers of the Eastern District of Texas.

Her professional affiliations also include membership in ChIPs, the national organization dedicated to advancing and connecting women in technology, law, and policy through a variety of initiatives and platforms. ChiPs Global Summit draws worldwide leaders from both the public and private sector, including U.S. Supreme Court Justices, to offer cutting-edge programming on such topics as cybersecurity, fintech, and artificial intelligence.

Ms. Forrest earned her law degree, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law in Seattle after completing her undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
