Elvin Smith manages the Sherman office of Siebman Law.
Elvin primarily focuses his practice on intellectual property matters. He previously clerked for Judge Paul Brown (1992-1994) in Sherman, Texas, when the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas started its run as one of the nation’s preeminent districts for patent litigation.
Elvin has served as lead trial counsel in a variety of cases tried in the Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas. He also has been lead appellate counsel in significant client matters argued in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Additionally, he has argued cases before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Elvin regularly serves as local counsel in cases pending in the Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas. Prior to joining the firm, he regularly partnered with firm founder Clyde Siebman on intellectual property matters in the Eastern and Northern Districts.
